This income producing Tyson Broiler farm, known as the Alpena Farm, sits just outside Alpena,
Arkansas in Boone county. The farm has quick access to US HWY 412 and sits just a few miles
from Harrison, Arkansas. This broiler farm has 5- 40x400 houses that were built in 1990 but
completely updated in 2015, are insured as 2015 model houses and have 6 years remaining on
a current Tyson contract. The current grower is raising 8lb broilers with 18,000 birds per house
(90,000 birds per flock) and running 4.5 to 5 flocks per year. The most recent flock paid
approximately $56,000 gross. The farm sits on 49 +/- acres with about 5 acres of cleared
pasture in the northwest corner with county road frontage on the north and west sides that is a
blank slate for building the type of living you prefer or some grazing/ hay production. Tyson has
verbally committed to offering a contract to a new grower, but will most likely want the cool cell
pads and water lines updated. This farm would be a great addition to a current poultry operation
or a good candidate for a new grower.
